On June 10, 2017 around 12:24 a.m., the Demopolis Police Department responded to a shooting call at 171 Starmont Road Gallion, Alabama. Upon Officers arrival they located a female suffering from a gunshot wound, lying on ground. The victim was transported by emergency personnel to the Bryan Whitfield Hospital ER, where she succumbed to her injury.

Chief Tommie Reese, Director of Public Safety for City of Demopolis said that Dalton Martin Jowers, W/M age 19 of Demopolis, Alabama has been charged with Murder in this case.

This case is still under investigation by the Demopolis Police Department Criminal Investigations Division.

The victim is a juvenile and her name will not be released. Please keep the families in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time said Reese.
