On April 08, 2017, the Demopolis Police Department arrested DeWayne Davis, B/M age 40 of Forkland, Al., for the following charges:

1. One count of Ex-Felon in the Possession of a Firearm

2. One count of Possession of a Controlled Substance

His arrest came after Officers received a dispatched call of a possible intoxicated driver in a silver vehicle on U.S 80.  Officers  made contact with the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.  There was a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside of the vehicle.  Officers conducted a search and found numerous pills and crack cocaine in the vehicle. 

Davis was processed and later transported the Marengo County Detention Center for a Bond Hearing.
