After an investigation prompted by school officials on Feb 18^th 2017, The Demopolis Police Department Criminal Investigation Division arrested  James Derrick Robertson, W/M, age 52 of Gallion, Al., on (6) six Counts of a School Employee Distributing Obscene Material to a Student and (1) Count of a School Employee Having Sexual Contact with a Student.  Robertson was considered an adult volunteer and meets the definition of a School employee as defined in the Alabama Code of Criminal Law  Section 13A-6-80(a). He was processed and later transported to the Marengo County Detention Center to awaiting a bond hearing.   This investigation is ongoing and additional charges could be added.
