On November 14, 2016, the Demopolis Police Department arrested three (3) individuals after there were a string of burglaries in the Greene County area.  Arrested and will face charges in Marengo County are:

Karen Ann Owsley, W/F, age 22 of Demopolis, Alabama charged with the following:

One (1) Count of Receving Stolen Property 

One (1) Count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

David Brandon Jones, W/M, age 41 of Demopolis, Alabama charged with the following:

One (1) Count of Receving Stolen Property 

One (1) Count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Dennis Frazier Melton, W/M age 22 of Gallion, Alabama charged with the following:

One (1) Count of Receving Stolen Property 

One (1) Count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

One (1) Count of Possession of Marijuana

These arrests came after DPD Investigators were assisting the Greene County Sheriff's Office in investigating serveral burglaries that occurred in Greene County, Al.  DPD Investigators were able to locate some of the stolen property taken in the burglaries and also found drug paraphernalia and drugs in possession. 

They were all processed and transported the Marengo County Detention Center to await a Bond Hearing.
